Hair

Hair has been a hot topic with the freshman boys. Sometimes the other moms and I joke about which boy has the best hair or how long it takes them to get ready in the morning. We have laughed about this all summer long, sharing stories of what products they are using and how bad we feel for their younger sisters who have to share a bathroom with them. Now, chemo has made it a bit easier for some.

Jordan's chemo treatments on Thursday and Friday last week have a side effect of hair loss. While he was in the hospital getting this treatment, about half of his soccer team and his coach got together for a "buzz cuts for Jordan" event. A few of his friends also joined in supporting Jordan. The girls even changed up their headband color to yellow to show their support during their CSA tournament. I continue to feel overwhelmed by the support within this community. If we haven't said it enough... Thank you! It makes this very difficult time just a bit easier.

Jordan arrived home on Saturday following his first inpatient visit to the hospital for his first round of chemo. On Sunday, Dan and him tried to have some fun and made the best of a tough moment. Jordan should officially start to loose his hair within the next few days.

Chemo treatments are brutal on the body. We are so impressed with his ability to fight, and struggle at times. He is our hero and has a world of love and support.
