An update for you!

We are in our final round of chemo for this 3 week cycle. It's been quite a challenging few weeks (hence the lack of updates here - sorry about that!), with only a few days at home between each hospital visit. Jordan is handling it really well, managing his nausea well and surprisingly pretty positive emotionally. Dan and I have our moments, but doing the best we can. And Sami is living her normal life and loves supporting her brother. We all enjoy when we can sit together as a family at the dinner table. :-)
Between last week's treatment and today, we somehow squeezed in a meeting with the surgeon to review the surgical options for Jordan's leg. Due to the information we received and the upcoming decisions we have to make, all 4 of us attended, along with Jordan's physical therapist and psychologist. It was a big milestone and something we were eager about.
As a refresher, Jordan has a solid tumor in the top of his tibia that needs to be removed. Prior to surgery, about a 12 week cycle of chemo therapy is required to kill the risk of any cancerous cells floating around his blood stream, which is the period we are currently in. Surgery is scheduled for November 28th. More to come on this soon. Chemo therapy will continue for a few months following as a part of the treatment plan. I will be updating the spreadsheet/calendar soon if you want to reference it.
For now, Jordan and I are roommates again for the next few days. Chemo started today. Another infusion tomorrow, and then if he feels good, we hope to be home on Saturday. We are beginning to get to know the staff at Children's pretty well at this point but looking forward to nice break as his next treatment is scheduled for November 7th.
As always, thanks for reading and for the continued support.

Thank you for the update Kari it really helps me to understand more of what’s going on Stay strong. Love all of you.
Thanks for keeping us up to date. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Jordan and your family.
Love,
Papa
