Week 5 here we come

We are learning the lifecycle of chemo. Jordan had a nice break as he body recovered from the last round. He felt good, eating well and being a typical 14 year old. His hair started to officially fall out (picture below of him having some fun with it), but otherwise, things were pretty normal and we all cherished every moment.

Dan was able to get away for a business trip while Sami, Jordan and I had somewhat of a normal week, aside from us being glued to the television watching the destruction of Hurricane Ian. My parents live in SW Florida and were luckily able to stay safe with other relatives in the area. So devastating to see the impacts of Ian. So, it's safe to say we are truly living in the "one day at a time" mentality.

And with that, here we are... Heading into Week 5-7. Three weeks in a row of chemo :(

Jordan was admitted to the hospital yesterday, September 30th and was given Methortexate, a chemo new to him. He will have this high dose again in a week. He is having some nausea which we are monitoring with many meds and he is quite tired. The goal for the next few days is to flush the chemo out of his body. When the levels have normalized, he can go home (probably on Monday). His nurse coordinator, Megs, believe Jordan will break records and get out of here pretty quick!

We will continue to post updates on Jordan's cancer progress over the next few weeks. Aside from his treatments, we continue to be overwhelmed by the love and support we are receiving. Some posts will follow soon to share with you all on how important this kid is to the world. Dan and I are beyond proud of him and the impact he has made to our community.

We are so proud of Jordan. Positive attitude counts for everything. We hope he is home on Monday. Praying for all the Obies during this challenging time.
